One of the wonderful perks of Lake Howell Eye Associate’s is that as a small business we can get more involved in the community. Part of our Outreach Coordinator’s job, Natalia, is to network with the Winter Park Chamber of Commerce. On December 1st 2014, Natalia attended the Winter Park Chamber’s Executive Women’s Luncheon, where she had the opportunity to meet Holly for a second time. Holly Wilder from Sweet by Holly, “The Cupcake Lady” and Champion of Cupcake Wars, met Natalia at the University of Central Florida’s Burnett Honors College, where she attended as the guest speaker for undergraduate students. As a Central Florida resident, Holly loves getting involved in the community by giving back with her cupcakes, education and serving as a role model. The advise from Holly that remained with Natalia for two years was “Find your passion and be creative while marketing yourself”. Two years later, they met again, but this time in a professional environment, where Holly was also the guest speaker for business women. She is a great inspiration and now a published author with her new creative cooking book Savory Bites. Through her passion for cupcakes, she loves to teach families, specially children on how to eat healthy with portion control, without sacrificing flavors. Portion control is very important in order to live a healthy life and avoid obesity, diabetes, cholesterol and other health complications, but Holly gives it a little twist with fun tasty recipes you can cook in cupcake pan. These treats are great for planning your weekly meals or to enjoy when you have guests over the holidays!
