LHEA is supporting the Bristish Heart No Smoking Day Campaign, which takes place on Wednesday March 11th 2015.
Studies show that there is a link between smoking and eye disease and by taking this initiative you will protect your vision, your over all health and health of others.
In support of the BHF campaign, the Association of Optometrists (AOP) chief executive, Henrietta Alderman, said: “As this research reveals, many smokers are unaware of the link between smoking and eye disease. An optometrist can pick up many conditions, including AMD, the most common cause of sight loss in the UK. A sight test is not about getting a pair of glasses – it’s a vital health check for your eyes.”
Makes sure to include your Comprehensive Eye Exam as part of your annual health routine check up.
