Amblyopia is also known as Lazy eye, which is a decreased vision that results from abnormal visual development in infancy and early childhood. Lazy eye is the leading cause of decreased vision among children. Treatment must be done at an early age since treatment beyond a certain age is ineffective. Consult your optometrist and watch for signs in your child such as: squinting, tilting of the head to better, crossed eyes, and difficulty seeing in 3D.
